Working it in Miami

Posted by admin in Travel

I put in a wake up call so I wouldn’t be late for the workshop. I only managed to have breakfast during a coffee break and during the lunch break I went back to one of the sweetest hotels Miami, Florida is known for, just to catch a quick nap.  I had to place another wake up call so I wouldn’t miss the rest of the workshop. I finished class before most of the people attending, so I again went back to my hotel room and donned my bathing suit. I headed straight for the gorgeous pool. I know this all seems rushed, but only because this hotel is fantastic and I’d like to take advantage of all it has to offer and do the workshop at the same time. Not an easy task.

Later, after changing clothes, a pink puffy sleeved mini dress, for the dinner provided by the workshop. There was an interesting man who was also attending the workshop, and he was single and not dating anyone, so I’m so glad I packed for any occasion. For dinner, there was a woman playing the violin during our meal, nice touch, made it seem a little romantic. We were free for the rest of the evening until the next class begins tomorrow morning. Tommy, that’s his name, came up to me after dinner and asked if I’d like to join him at the lounge located in the hotel. He said he’d like to buy me a drink and that there’s a great singer there tonight. I couldn’t resist, I mean, after all, he was cute.

He bought me a drink and asked me for a dance. That was all nice, but when it came time to talk about anything, we were both lacking. It was kind of awkward, especially since he managed to strike up a conversation with the woman sitting next to us. So, I just told him goodnight and I left. Oh well, there’s always another workshop.
